Position within the list of articles is remembered when exiting an article. Thx for the bug fix!!! Now the only other thing that I don't like is the menu: the old permanent one at the top was better than 1) it didn't hide and 2) I could swipe left/right to change category without having to fiddle with the new small the menu bar & icon & categories list.

Scrolling while touching an article may mark it "read" even if not opened. Similarly, titles in subsections may disappear, when using dark mode.

Cancelled my subscription after several years because of the app. A pity that such good journalism is paired with such a bad app. A total privacy nightmare, easily my (now former) app with the most numerous trackers. Very slow. Noise to signal ratio deteriorating: more and more pictures and time-wasting ui gimmicks get in the way. More content locked under "pro" subscriptions. Pls fire your "make money with tracking and ads mba's" and concentrate on your journalism...

Pro subscriber here. Unfortunately the new and improved app shows giant photos without a real title. The newspaper is great. Had to downgrade the app and block auto-updates. The idea when reading the newspaper is for analysis, not to click on pretty pictures and see what they are about. You could have left your (paying) readers the option to choose the interface. Imho espc. People who read the pro version want to scroll between titles, not pictures that take all screen space. Yk, we can read.

Very annoying experience. A notification comes, and you can't even read the full title. Okay, so then you open the notification, but you have to log in before you can read the article. Then you log in, and you are sent to the front page of the app where you don't see the article from the notification anymore. So, you now have to look through the app for the article that was in the notification initially...

Full of ads. Even for top tier NZZ-Pro paid accounts. Disgraceful.
