Don't use Massage Book if you want to not use their payment processor or do not want new clients to prepay. New clients will not be able to book even if you provide them a direct link, unless they prepay. You cannot opt out of their charging a marketing fee for a new client finding you on Google. I never agreed to their boosting me on Google. I found out that they changed my Google page, directing clients to go my Massage Book home page instead of my website. I had to have Google change it back

The software for the computer is great, but the mobile app is terrible, we have 8 therapists and half the time while trying to book using the app it says they aren't available when they are or are available when they are not, or says the rooms are unavailable. There isn't an easy way to look at the schedule as a whole for the day so trying to look to See if any therapist is available is practically impossible. Have to look at each individual's schedule and then it's not reliable. Major flaws

I have a busy spa with multiple independent contractors. Unfortunately I cannot pick a couple's massage with two therapists. Also, there are just a lot of issues as far as needing to go through square for payments when I have a system that I use in my office for that and square takes so much money. And lastly, I do not like the fact that you cannot pick two or three different services with a different provider for each service. I literally have to go and create a new service.

The new law that went into effect as of july 1 prohibits advertising massage services at the same media (site, board) that promotes prostitution, and it is a ground for license revocation and heavy fine. At least 10% of providers listed are prostitutes soliciting sex services. The fact that you can sign up as a provider without license verification and the license number is not listed on the profile puts every single massage therapist at risk of losing their license and paying fines.
